Heartbeat checks explained
This is the safeguard layer. It exists to keep the product from acting too quickly.
Cadence
Set how often the system should ask you to confirm that you are still active.
Tolerance
Allow more than one miss when appropriate. A single missed reminder should not carry too much weight.
Release timing
The service should move toward delivery only after the cadence and tolerance rules have both been exceeded.
